PeerApp Management Team


Robert Mayer, Chairman & CEO  Robert Mayer, Chairman & CEO

Robert has over 20 years experience in the high tech sector where he held various positions in business management, engineering management and research and development. Prior to being named CEO of PeerApp, Robert was with EMC Corp for 10 years. He began as a key developer of EMC’s revolutionary storage platform that yielded as much as $6 Billion in annual revenues for the company and during his career there managed various business groups. His latest EMC position was as Vice President of Information Management. He received a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from the Northeastern University, Boston.


Joseph Hazan, CFO  Joseph Hazan, CFO

Prior Prior to joining Peer App, Joseph was a Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Enigma for ten years. While at Enigma, he oversaw operation and budgeting for all operating units worldwide and negotiated with leading venture capital firms in Israel and the US. He also led the initiative to acquire a US subsidiary of a Public company, Enigma’s main competitor. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics and Accounting.


Frank Childs, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances  Frank Childs, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances

Mr. Childs brings over 20 years of in-depth operations experience with emerging companies, which include Ziff-Davis Interactive, Shiva Corporation, Index Technology, MCK, and ACT! With these companies, he held a range of management positions in engineering, quality assurance and marketing. Mr. Childs previously served as vice president of product management at MCK Communications. During his tenure at MCK, he was a member of the leadership team that executed a successful initial public offering in 1999 and he contributed to the company’s annual revenue growth to $45 million. Previously, Mr. Childs helped launch Interchange Online Network, an early electronic publishing platform and online service created by Ziff-Davis Interactive. Prior to joining PeerApp, he was a partner with Pilot House Ventures and a member of PeerApp’s Board of Directors.


Alan Arolovitch, CTO  Alan Arolovitch, CTO

Alan is PeerApp’s CTO and is responsible for the technical vision and product strategy. Alan is a serial entrepreneur and has over 12 years engineering and design experience. He is an expert in IP networking, server clusters, and high performance storage systems. Prior to joining PeerApp, Alan owned his own system design and consulting firm where he worked with customers such as Intel, Comverse, IBM Global Services, Allot Communications, and Terayon.

Charles is a 27 year veteran bringing leading edge products to market, including those required to enable voice, data and video, commercial and subscriber services. Prior to joining PeerApp, Charles held multiple positions as V.P. of Worldwide Sales for Brix Networks and iBasis, where he drove and managed explosive revenue growth in each of these companies and others, including Nortel, Toshiba, United Technologies and NEC. Starting his career as a System Engineer, Charles held various positions in product management, sales and sales management. Charles earned a B.A. in Communications, a B.S. in electrical Engineering, from the N.Y. Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Telecommunications from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.

Samuel Bachar, Vice President of Engineering  Samuel Bachar, Vice President of Engineering

Prior to joining PeerApp, Samuel was Vice President of Research & Development with Vocaltec -- a Voice over IP (VoIP) leader -- where he was instrumental in the development of several key product lines. Samuel has more than 15 years of experience in communications and engineering, including positions at Kagoor Networks, Comverse, Elron. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science and Economics as well as a Master of Business Administration Degree.



Eliot Listman, Vice President of Business Development  Eliot Listman, Vice President of Business Development

Eliot is responsible for business development and the content distribution business. Earlier in his career, at InterVU and Akamai Technologies he managed the development of various content distribution new businesses along with related product development, sales and marketing. These included syndication, digital rights management and ad insertion. Eliot also served as CEO and executive vice president of corporate development for ASPEED Software. He started his career practicing law with Hawkins Delafield & Wood and then Greenberg Traurig, where he was a founding member of the New York office and pioneered the growth of the media, new media and technology practices. Eliot received his J.D. from The National Law Center at George Washington University, Masters in Government Administration from the Fels Center at the University of Pennsylvania, B.A. from Vassar College and was a General Course student at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
