 PeerApp UltraBand is built on patented P2P caching technology, which makes it possible and efficient for ISPs to serve all P2P users’ requests. UltraBand eliminates up to 80% of P2P traffic across ISPs’ networks through high-performance caching. File data is temporarily cached in UltraBand devices, and then transmitted transparently from the cache server to requesting peers.

When peak P2P activity occurs – for instance following the release of a popular new video, song, or software patch – UltraBand keeps requested files in its carrier-grade reliable cache, utilizing industry-leading switching and storage hardware. UltraBand supports all the current major P2P network protocols, including Bittorrent, eDonkey, Gnutella and FastTrack.Given that more than 80% of the P2P files that users request have already been requested by other users, P2P caching translates into extraordinary bandwidth efficiencies , keeping more traffic local, and allowing for dramatic extensions of ISP service capabilities on existing bandwidth and infrastructure.

The UltraBand P2P cache is available in two models, designed to meet the requirements of any ISP.

	UltraBand 1000 UltraBand 1000: Up to 500 Mbps Cache “Smart Bandwidth” Generation UltraBand 1000 P2P caching system is ideal for ISPs whose near-term P2P forecast per location does not exceed 1 Gbps Cable-based ISPs looking to relieve last mile upstream congestion.
	UltraBand 2000 UltraBand 2000: Up to 2 Gbps Cache “Smart Bandwidth” Generation UltraBand 2000 P2P caching system is ideal for ISPs with near-term P2P forecast per location above 1Gbps, including Internet backbone access points.
